They found Said has a tumor located at the knee, only specific on the distal part of the left femur. It has not metastasized or spread to any part”. So at the moment Said is safe and not at the terminal stage and we can save his life.

Said had his right leg amputated because the cancer was too big and advanced.

Supporting the home and school for disabled orphans on the Island of Bhola, South Bangladesh, started in 2005 from Bruna Colombo-Otten, nowadays President and Founder of Sunshine and Harmony. The photos are from this year last visit; boys and girls painting their rooms and faces!

Since the age of three months, Sifat had breathing problems, a whistling sound while he was breathing, was losing weight and was always tired. Due to poverty, his family could not afford to take him to a private hospital for surgery. Father Md. Bipul Hossein is a van driver and mother Samsur Nahar is a housewife, they have little income and family members are five.

Bhola's Children Centre Playground

“Mammi Bruna” and great Zakir, Bhola’s Center Director, always dreamt to have a real playground inside Bhola’s House. To play in one, the children had to go with local transport to a big public one with so many people queueing! It took at least 30 m each way! Zakir also had to keep checking that our children didn’t get bullied and hurt! Now finally “a dream has come true”!
With Zakir enthusiasm and hard work from our staff and our children, we have finally a beautiful playground; very colorful and with many plays for all ages.
